Hello everyone, Tim Jackson here from JJ&S Environmental Services.

September allows us to recognize the people behind our work and highlight what their experience makes possible. We’re proud to share that JJ&S Environmental Services is officially Great Place To Work Certified™ for 2026–2027. This recognition reflects the culture our employees continue to build through teamwork, accountability, and a shared commitment to serving our clients across California.

That same commitment becomes especially important when a project involves strict regulations, sensitive environments, or multiple layers of coordination. This month, we’re featuring our asbestos and lead removal work at Beale Air Force Base. A project that required extensive documentation, certifications, regulatory filings, and approvals before work could begin.

Our back-office and commercial teams worked directly with the base maintenance team to secure authorized access and keep the project moving safely and efficiently.

Projects like this demonstrate that successful abatement involves much more than the work performed on-site. It requires careful planning, clear communication, complete documentation, and a team prepared to manage every requirement from start to finish. You can see this project and more examples of our work in our Abatement Success Stories.

Another recent example is our work at Pomona Unified School District, where JJ&S Environmental Services completed a large-scale lead and asbestos abatement project at a school facility in Pomona.

Projects like this show why early environmental planning matters. Proper containment, documentation, trained crews, and clear coordination help keep commercial projects organized, safe, and on schedule.

The scope included more than 25,000 square feet of hazardous material removal under a strict 40-business-day timeline.

Industry Connections

JJ&S at the Claims Conference of Northern California

Since 1994, the Claims Conference of Northern California has been a leader in continuing education for property and casualty insurance claims professionals. JJ&S was proud to attend this year’s conference in Sacramento and connect with claims professionals, industry partners, and service providers from across the region.

Events like this help us better understand the challenges facing the claims community, strengthen the relationships that support effective project coordination, and continue building partnerships that help clients respond with greater confidence when environmental issues arise.
